Job summary

Fertility Centers of Illinois in Chicago, IL seeks an OR/PACU RN to join US Fertility’s national practice network. Provide perioperative care, assess patients, and support families through the surgical journey.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• 2 to 3 years of clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred.
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient care problems and formulate plans.
• Perform initial preoperative assessment and explain surgery phases.
• Provide comfort and psychological support to patient and family.
• Care for patients who have received various anesthesia or conscious sedation.
• Administer medications by IV and other routes as directed.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN to join our team at Fertility Centers of Illinois in Chicago , Illinois.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM; with weekend and holiday rotations
• Compensation: $40 to $45 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, theOR/PACU RN will:

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
