Job summary

US Fertility is seeking an OR/PACU RN to join Fertility Centers of Illinois in Chicago, IL. This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with start times of 6:30, 7:00, or 7:30 AM and weekend/holiday rotations, at a rate of $40–$45 per hour, commensurate with experience.

The OR/PACU RN will perform preoperative assessments, develop a care plan, provide comfort to patients and families, manage anesthesia-related care, and administer medications as directed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and current BLS/ACLS certification.
• 2–3 years of Operating Room or PACU experience preferred.
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to input and retrieve information from a computer.
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient care problems and formulate care plans.
• Perform initial preoperative assessment and plan of care.
• Provide comfort and psychological support to patient and family.
• Demonstrate proficiency with anesthesia types and conscious sedation.
• Administer medications IV and other routes as directed.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN to join our team at Fertility Centers of Illinois in Chicago , Illinois.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM; with weekend and holiday rotations
• Compensation: $40 to $45 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, theOR/PACU RN will:

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications and Skills Include:

• Active RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• 2 to 3 years of clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
