Job summary

CHI St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton, Oregon seeks a Supervisor in Surgical Services to provide front-line clinical leadership for the operating room service line under the Nurse Manager.

You will oversee daily perioperative room and staffing assignments, ensure regulatory compliance with The Joint Commission and CMS, and steward resources to support safe patient care and efficient operations. You will empower your team through clear communication, staff development, and evidence-based practice

Qualifications

• Oregon RN License is required and must be in good standing.
• Three years of clinical nursing experience in an Operating Room as an OR Nurse, with at least 2 years in the clinical OR service.
• Experience with performance management.
• Experience assisting with orientation of staff.
• AHA BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily staff and room assignments to ensure optimal workflow and adherence to productivity and quality metrics.
• Direct human resources functions including team orientation, performance feedback, continuing education, and corrective action.
• Monitor staffing skill mixes and manage departmental supplies and capital needs to ensure cost-effective operations.
• Maintain standards of care consistent with TJC, CMS, and hospital policies to ensure patient safety and compliance.
• Lead departmental work teams to analyze outcomes, improve efficiencies, and drive evidence-based practice changes.
• Assist in development of the surgical schedule and manage payroll activities.
