Job summary

Tri-State Orthopaedic Surgeons is seeking a Surgery Supervisor to lead daily operations of the surgical services department within our ambulatory center in Evansville, IN. You will direct staff, schedule coverage, and uphold patient safety and sterile technique across procedures.

Ideal candidates bring at least 5 years of surgical experience, current nursing license, and proven leadership. We encourage strong communication and collaboration with physicians and administration to improve quality

Qualifications

• Current nursing license.
• Minimum of 5 years of surgery experience.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, patient safety, infection prevention, and sterile technique.
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate daily OR and surgical services staff.
• Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage based on surgical volume.
• Ensure adherence to infection prevention, sterile technique, patient safety, and surgical-site protocols.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia teams, nursing leadership, and other departments to resolve issues.
• Monitor availability, maintenance, and use of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with inventory management and identify opportunities to control costs without compromising safety or quality.
