TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Santa Fe, NM is seeking an Operating Room Nurse PRN to join the surgical services team. In this role you will assess patients preoperatively, support anesthesia care, and help ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative process.

You will collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and unit leaders, participate in time-out and briefing procedures, and maintain compliance with universal protocols. On-call may be required during select non-business hours.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process
• Prepare patients for surgery, including IV therapy and preoperative medications
• Perform surgical site verification and participate in safety protocols
