Job summary

UCHealth UCHlth Cherry Creek Med Ctr in Denver, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse for an on-site OR role. You will perform circulating and scrub duties, deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced surgical setting, and support intraoperative safety and outcomes.

The position requires CO RN licensure, BLS, and 6 months OR experience or UCHealth Fellowship completion. This is a day-shift, full-time onsite role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in Colorado.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse; BLS required; CNOR preferred.
• Minimum 6 months OR nursing experience or completion of UCHealth Fellowship program.

Responsibilities

• Performs circulating functions before surgery: prepare operating environment, orient and assess patient, review medical record and surgeon notes; ensure safety checklists are completed.
• Performs circulating functions during surgery: monitor patient, document interventions, maintain sterile field and control room traffic.
• Performs scrub functions: prepare, select and handle instruments; perform surgical counts with circulating nurse.
• Provides nursing care to a complex, high-acuity surgical patient population in a technically complex environment.
