Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO, is hiring a full-time Charge MRI Technologist for day shifts in the Operating Room. The role requires advanced modality experience and independent operation of Siemens MRI machines in a fast-paced OR environment.

Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, performing studies, managing shift workflow, and mentoring technologists. A minimum of 2 years radiology experience and RT(R) certification are required. Benefits eligible after hire date.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a related field is required.
• Certified Registered Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R)) is required.
• Minimum 2 years of radiology experience in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and equipment for procedures.
• Perform procedures independently, including on‑call and portable exams.
• Oversee shift operations: workflow, assignments, lunch schedules, and priority adjustments.
• Enter and escalate IT and equipment tickets as needed.
• Serve as the clinical resource and mentor for technologists.
• Act as the clinical liaison between the team and supervisor, ensuring proper communication and escalation.
• Maintain and order supplies for department operations.
