Position Details

Full‑Time Charge MRI Radiology Technologist (Day Shift) at Barnes Jewish Hospital (BJH) Center for Advanced Medicine, St. Louis, MO.

Shift

• Day Shift: Monday, Thursday, Friday (6 am – 7:30 pm)
• No call or weekends
• 3 days a week

Requirements

• Associate degree or trade school equivalency (or higher level of education)
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography – RT(R) and/or MR
• ARRT certification
• 2 years’ experience

Experience

• Experience in leadership roles such as Lead Tech, Charge Tech, Senior Tech, Supervisor, or related positions

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs studies independently, in on‑call situations, portable exams, and other sites as required.
• Oversees shift operations, managing workflow, assignments, lunch schedules, and adjusting priorities to meet department needs.
• Enter/escalate IT and equipment tickets.
• Serves as the clinical resource and expert for technologists, providing problem‑solving, assistance with difficult exams, and mentoring.
• Acts as the clinical liaison between the team and supervisor; ensures proper communication and escalation of information.
• Maintains/orders necessary supplies for department needs.
