Job summary

DMC Receiving Hospital, part of Tenet Healthcare, seeks a Surgical Services professional to coordinate instrument and supply flow between the OR and Central Sterile Processing, ensuring items are available for efficient case throughput.

Responsibilities include assisting in OR preparation, instrument turnover planning, and daily audits, with emphasis on safety, communication, and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school graduate; an associate degree is preferred.
• Must read, write and understand English.
• 3+ years of sterile processing technician experience; 5 years preferred.
• Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CBSPD or IAHCSMM).

Responsibilities

• Assist OR staff by preparing the OR and verifying instrument trays before case start.
• Transport sterile instruments and perform package integrity checks.
• Monitor case flow and notify CSP of instrument needs; resolve issues.
• Assist with instrument turnarounds and communicate instrumental info.
• Perform daily audits of completed/post-op case carts.
