Job summary

Brown University Health in Rhode Island is seeking a Director of Operating Room (OR), Endoscopy, and Sterile Processing Services to oversee the OR, Endoscopy, and Sterile Processing teams. This role drives safe, high-quality perioperative care for pediatric and adult trauma patients within a Level I center.

You will lead staffing, implement competency updates, and align operations with organizational goals, ensuring seamless workflows, adherence to standards, and continuous performance

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
Master’s degree in nursing or related field; internal candidates may be considered.
RN licensure in Rhode Island or compact state; CSPD/trauma certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead daily operations of OR, Endoscopy, and Sterile Processing Services.
Develop staffing plans and manage recruitment to meet care needs.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient flow and outcomes.
Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, AORN, and accreditation standards.
Monitor KPIs, drive cost efficiency, and optimize resource use.
Oversee training, professional development, and staff retention.
