Henry Ford Health is seeking a Nurse Manager for Surgical Services Operating Room to lead the Main OR and CVOR at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital. The role oversees day-to-day clinical and operational functions of a high-volume department, supporting specialized surgical services and a Level II Trauma Center.

The position requires BSN, Michigan RN licensure, and 2+ years in acute care surgical leadership, with CNOR/ANCC certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
• Current Michigan RN license is required.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care surgical experience; OR circulating preferred.
• Progressive nursing leadership experience (Charge Nurse/Clinical Manager/Coordinator).
• CNOR or ANCC certification is preferred for leadership in perioperative services.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of Main OR and CVOR ensuring safety and quality.
• Supervise 75+ perioperative staff including RNs, techs, and assistants.
• Coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia to optimize scheduling and resources.
• Implement quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Manage budget, staffing, supplies, and cost containment.
• Foster professional development through mentoring and education programs.
• Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and governance.
• Ensure Joint Commission and policy compliance in surgical services.
• Address staff performance and support career advancement.
• Communicate with leadership to align with organizational goals.
