Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (RN) for the ASC Operating Room to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit activities during the shift.

In collaboration with management and staff, the CNC directs nursing care, supports staffing, and promotes performance improvement to deliver optimal clinical outcomes and an exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• PALS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• RN licensure (registered nurse) required within 30 days of start date.
• RN diploma required.
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services with the management team.
• Collaborates with experts and managers to create teamwork that supports improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Implements nursing strategies and employee rounding to improve engagement.
• Recommends interview and training actions to ensure staff development and policy compliance.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management according to patient care needs.
• Supports inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
