Job summary

HCA Florida Capital Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care across the unit during shifts. You will lead nursing teams, monitor care delivery, and align staffing and resources with patient needs.

The CNC partners with management to drive outcomes, support staff development, and implement nursing strategies that improve patient experience and clinical performance.

Qualifications

  • ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • RN Diploma or Associate Degree required; RN licensure required.
  • Acute care experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
  • Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, in collaboration with the management team.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork and improved outcomes.
  • Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
  • Supports nursing strategies and initiatives, including employee rounding and hourly rounds.
  • Provides recommendations on interviewing, selection and training of staff; supports performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor in alignment with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
  • Supports inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
