Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in New Mexico is seeking an OR RN Circulator to provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures. You will advocate for patient safety and coordinate care with the surgical team.

The role offers a full-time, 0.90 FTE schedule, with enhanced sign-on and relocation options for qualified candidates. NM licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• State of NM or Compact Nursing License is required.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and advocate for the surgical patient—perform preoperative and intraoperative assessments, verify consents, confirm surgical site and procedure, and advocate for patient safety.
• Manage the surgical environment—ensure the operating room is prepared, maintained, sterile, and equipped with supplies.
• Facilitate surgical team communication—coordinate care among surgeons, anesthesia providers, scrub staff and others with accurate documentation.
• Ensure compliance and safety standards—initiate perioperative protocols, administer meds per orders, and maintain intraoperative records.
• Lead and support perioperative care delivery—supervise staff, support orientation, participate in quality improvement and governance.
