Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 3 years as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
• Effective communication—transmitting and interpreting ideas and needs.
• Person-centered care and family partnership in care.
• Cultural awareness and respectful engagement with diverse patients.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff per Jefferson values.
• Ensures safe, compassionate, and coordinated care respecting patient/family preferences.
• Collaborates with interprofessional teams to align care plans.
• Acts as a clinical resource on policies, patient standards, and risk management.
• Manages staffing, overtime, and scheduling with Nurse Manager.
• Oversees patient throughput and discharge planning.
• Supports nursing development and participation in governance programs.
