Job summary

Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital is seeking a Charge Nurse RN for the Operating Room to join our team on the night shift. This full-time role supports patient care in a high-acuity surgical environment and collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists and staff to ensure safe, efficient procedures.

You will apply nursing theory, mentor staff, maintain OR safety standards, and help coordinate patient flow from admission through recovery.

Qualifications

• RN with acute care nursing experience required.
• One year experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting required.
• Two years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting preferred.
• Operating Room experience highly preferred. RN on hire required, BCLS/ACLS, CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the OR aligned with nursing theory and hospital standards.
• Demonstrate the Quality Caring Model in daily practice.
• Collaborate with the OR team to ensure safety and high-quality care.
• Model caring behaviors including communication, empathy and professionalism.

Education

Nursing Diploma (Nursing) required

Associate’s Degree in Nursing

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred

Tools

ACLS certification
