Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, MI is seeking a dedicated healthcare assistant to support surgical teams. You will transport patients to and from the operating room, assist with positioning, and help prepare patients for procedures within a busy hospital setting.

Responsibilities include cleaning OR suites, stocking and delivering medications, and maintaining anesthesia equipment under supervision, all while adhering to safety and vaccination requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BCLS certification required or to be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport surgical patients to and from the operating room.
• Clean the OR suites and equipment.
• Assist with positioning and prepping patients.
• Supply anesthesia equipment and non-narcotic drugs to OR Suites and Maternity.
• Maintain anesthesia equipment for patient care within the surgical suite and Pre-Anesthesia Care Area.
• Stock non-controlled medications in multiple locations in the OR as requested by licensed personnel.
• Deliver non-controlled medications to the OR Suite/Pre-Op Holding as requested by licensed personnel.
