Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, MI is seeking dedicated team members to support inpatient and OR services. You'll perform a range of duties from transporting patients to assisting with sterile supplies, patient positioning, and room turnover, contributing to safe, efficient surgical care.

This entry-level opportunity emphasizes excellent communication, reliability, and adaptability, with training provided. A High School diploma and BCLS certification are required, with benefits included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BCLS certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Able to perform duties in a self-directed fashion.
• Excellent communication (written or verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Demonstrates professional and positive interactions.
• Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to changes.
• Opens sterile supplies and instruments as directed by operating room (OR) staff.
• Safely transports surgical patients to and from the OR.
• Assists with position and prepping patients.
• Obtains/returns equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Assists with turnover and cleaning of operating rooms between procedures.
• Maintains supply par levels within the OR.
• Performs specimen hand-off and understand the proper handling of all specimens per policy.
