Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Boston seeks an Anesthesia Technician to ensure the availability and proper functioning of anesthesia equipment, prepare the operating room environment, and assist in delivering safe anesthesia care. Training occurs on a morning shift (6:30am–3:00pm) with later hours (1:00pm–9:30pm) after training, onsite at 45 Fruit Street.

The role requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent, BLS certification (preferred), and knowledge of anesthesia equipment, monitors, and supplies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anesthesia equipment, monitors, and supplies used in surgical/procedural settings.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with anesthesia care team and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to changing circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Ensure anesthesia carts and machines are prepared in every room before surgery and between procedures.
• Inspect and replace anesthesia gas tanks as needed.
• Gather anesthesia supplies requested by anesthesia personnel before and during procedures.
• Prepare complex equipment for hemodynamic monitoring.
