Mass General Brigham is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesiologists at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, part of the Mass General Brigham system. You will help with the setup, care and maintenance of anesthesia equipment and participate in evaluating new products and supplies.

The role requires high school graduation, prior anesthesia tech experience preferred, and strong independence. Onsite work at 2014 Washington Street with a 40-hour week and day shifts; competitive base pay

Qualifikationen

• Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous anesthesia technician experience preferred.
• Knowledge and Skills: Must be self-directed and work well independently; adheres to hospital policies and procedures.

Aufgaben

• Provides general and specific assistance to anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists on clinical activities not involving direct patient care or medications.
• Cleans, cares for, and maintains all anesthesia equipment.
• Inventories and orders supplies as needed.
• Coordinates with Purchasing and Biomedical Engineering for maintenance, service contracts and repairs.
• Performs light maintenance and calibrations of equipment per manufacturer guidance.
• Ensures compliance with JCAHO standards; checks and replaces gas tanks.
• Cleans and handles reusable/contaminated equipment per standards.
• Maintains stock data records for budget verification and justification.
• Assists in providing basic nursing care to assigned patients.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living as needed.
