Job summary

The Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to help provide technical and operational support for anesthesia services. The role ensures availability and proper functioning of anesthesia equipment and supplies, prepares and maintains the OR environment, and assists in delivering safe anesthesia care.

This onsite position supports patient care, with a schedule that includes early morning start times and rotational weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure anesthesia carts and machines are ready in each room before and between surgeries.
• Replace anesthesia gas tanks as needed.
• Retrieve anticipated anesthesia supplies for procedures.
• Prepare equipment for hemodynamic monitoring.
• Ensure monitoring equipment and anesthesia machine readiness.
• Troubleshoot and ensure anesthesia machine readiness.
