Job summary

LensCrafters in Wisconsin is seeking an Optometric Technician to support eye exams and patient care, linking the doctor with front-office staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.

You will perform pre-exam tests, manage patient records, and assist with lens orders while maintaining HIPAA compliance and a welcoming, efficient environment. Weekend/evening availability enhances scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of optical and medical terminology.
• Understanding and utilization of optical equipment and diagnostic testing.
• Coaching and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care and eye exams, including managing patient records and supporting patient flow throughout the exam.
• Performs tests to aid the optometrist with vision examinations, including acuity measurements and retinal imaging.
• Reviews prescriptions and patient information for accuracy and coordinates with doctors and staff.
• Maintains HIPAA-compliant handling of patient records and supports lens orders.
• Operates scheduling and POS systems, processing sales when required.
• Works weekends and evenings to meet location needs.
