Keplr Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician I to support optometrist-led patient care and provide a flawless patient experience. You will assist with pre-screening, medical history, insurance education, and contact lens training while maintaining accurate documentation.

The role emphasizes strong communication, multitasking, and flexibility to accommodate schedule changes in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and personal presentation are critical to this role.
• 1+ years of experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Pre-screen patients before they see the optometrist, including the administration of diagnostic tests.
• Gather patient’s medical history.
• Communicate with doctors, staff, and patients
• Answer phone calls, greet patients and schedule appointments
• Educate patients on their insurance coverage and vision benefits
• Train patients on proper contact lens use and care
• Obtain insurance authorizations and verification of benefits
• Accurately post charges for exam fees, co-pays, and products sold
• Assist other team members to reach goals
• Document optometry exams and procedures as performed by the doctor
• List diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions and prescriptions as directed
• Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow, communicating delays
