Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous experience in optometry preferred.
• Proficient in EHR and keyboarding.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Enter data into EHR during exams as dictated by the doctor.
• Assist optometrist and ophthalmologist with patient procedures.
• Escort the patient to Optical and introduce to the Optician, communicating recommendations.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow.
• Prepare exam room and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Provide a safe, clean, inviting environment for patients and staff.
• Travel to other offices as needed.
• Perform vision and diagnostic tests as requested.
• Collect patient medical history and enter data into EHR.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage recalls.
