Responsibilities include confirming demographics and insurance, collecting co-pays, posting payments in Epic, and ensuring HIPAA privacy. Flexible hours may be required during peak times; a High School diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous medical reception or reception experience preferred.
• Basic keyboard skills and medical terminology preferred.
• Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
• May be required to work flexible hours and overtime during peak hours.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming telephone calls and routes to appropriate personnel.
• Welcomes on-site visitors and manages lobby access.
• Maintains and routes mail, supplies, and faxes.
• Schedules patient appointments and handles EMR Epic registration check-ins.
• Loads, verifies, and updates patient demographics and insurance data.
• Performs cashiering and online payment posting within Epic; completes daily cash closure.
