Qualifications

• OD degree from an ACOE-accredited institution.
• Licensed Massachusetts optometrist or willingness to obtain license; CS registration.
• Active candidacy for Fellowship in American Academy of Optometry; Scleral Lens Education Society fellowship desirable.
• Experience with contact lenses including soft, gas permeable, scleral, Ortho-K and myopia control; dry eye care expertise.

Responsibilities

• Deliver didactic, laboratory and clinical experiential instruction in the OD program.
• Provide students with approved syllabi including objectives, outcomes, and evaluation criteria.
• Precept students in patient care at Eye and Vision Center clinics and affiliated sites; grade clinical performance.
• Travel to external clinical sites may be required; participate in service and committees; engage in scholarly activities.
• Use LMS to post materials and communicate with students; advise via office hours or appointments; contribute to course development and assessment.
