Midwestern University seeks an Assistant Professor/Clinic Care Lead for the Illinois Chicago College of Optometry. You will oversee daily contact lens and dry eye clinics, ensure high-quality patient care, and manage clinical operations across faculty and staff.

The role requires a Doctor of Optometry, an ACOE-accredited residency, and Illinois license eligibility, with expertise in cornea and contact lenses. Administrative leadership and budget planning are key components of this position.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an AOE-accredited institution.
• Completion of an ACOE-accredited residency.
• Eligibility for Illinois optometric license. Expertise in cornea and contact lenses preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical and operational leadership for the assigned clinic section.
• Supervise faculty and staff; coordinate workloads and clinic coverage.
• Oversee patient care quality, documentation, and compliance with national guidelines.
• Identify equipment needs and budget implications for the capital plan.
• Support student education quality and rotation administration.
• Develop and implement EMR templates and training for new software.
