Job summary

Sam's West, Inc. (Walmart Vision Center) in Evergreen Park, IL is seeking a Doctor of Optometry to provide evidence-based vision care, perform comprehensive eye examinations, and prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate.

You will educate patients and store staff on eye health, coordinate care with ophthalmologists, maintain accurate records, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• OD degree required and licensed optometrist in good standing in state of practice.
• Experience performing comprehensive eye examinations and vision care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based vision care and prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate.
• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and determine visual acuity, refractive error, and eye health.
• Educate patients and store associates on eye health and lens care.
• Coordinate care with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate patient records in vision center systems and ensure follow-up as needed.
