Job summary

Sam's West, Inc. in Cheyenne, WY is seeking a licensed Doctor of Optometry to deliver evidence-based vision care. You will perform comprehensive eye exams, prescribe eyewear and medications, educate patients and store staff, and coordinate care with ophthalmologists.

The role requires OD licensure; PGY-1 is preferred. This is a full-time position with competitive salary and Walmart benefits including health, retirement, PTO and education programs.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from accredited optometry school.
• Licensed optometrist in good standing in state of practice.
• Completion of a post-graduate year one (PGY-1) in area of emphasis (e.g., family practice, low vision care, pediatric or geriatric optometry, ocular disease).

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based vision care to patients.
• Educate patients and store associates on eye health and lens care.
• Consult with health professionals to coordinate patient care plans.
• Maintain patient information in vision center systems (e.g., BOSS).
• Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and Walmart guidelines.
