Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from an accredited institution.
• Must have passed optometric state boards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams and vision testing.
• Establish long-term patient relationships through education and care.
• Interview patients to assess health and ocular history and needs.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contacts, and medications.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care after eye surgery and advise on treatments.
