Job summary

Acuity Eyecare Group is seeking a licensed optometrist to conduct comprehensive eye exams, diagnose ocular conditions, and provide patient education and care. The role emphasizes building lasting patient relationships and delivering high-quality eye care with up-to-date lens technology.

The optometrist will prescribe glasses, contacts, and medications, offer postoperative care, and refer patients to other providers when needed, while upholding the group’s values and patient-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams and vision testing.
• Establish long-term patient relationships through patient care and education.
• Take verbal patient history including ocular and systemic health.
• Educate patients on refractive options and ocular health, coordinating with staff as needed.
• Promote the profession and Acuity Eyecare Group values.
• Diagnose vision problems and eye diseases.
• Prescribe glasses, contact lenses, and medications.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care after eye surgery when applicable.
• Refer to other healthcare providers when systemic diseases are detected.
• Counsel patients on eye health and lens options with latest technology coatings.
