Acuity Eyecare Group seeks a Doctor of Optometry to perform comprehensive eye exams and educate patients while contributing to the growth and quality of eye care in a full-time, on-site setting.

The role includes patient interviews, prescribing eyewear and medications, postoperative care as needed, and collaboration with the staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. The ideal candidate will have completed state boards and hold a current optometry license.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsabilités

• Conduct eye exams and determine ocular health and refractive status.
• Establish long-term patient relationships through education and care.
• Interviews patients to obtain ocular and medical history and visual needs.
• Advise on remedies for ametropias and ocular diseases; coordinate with staff.
• Promote eye health and patient education; communicate recommendations to staff.
• Perform vision tests and analyze results; diagnose eye conditions.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications.
• Provide postoperative care where applicable and refer to specialists as needed.
• Evaluate systemic diseases impacting eye health and refer to physicians when necessary.
• Counsel patients on lens care and maintenance, including contact lens hygiene.
