Job summary

Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited School of Optometry; 1 year desired but not required.
• Optometrist License (California) required at hire.
• Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPA) required for external employees hired after 2009.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and documents history including chief complaint and relevant ocular health data.
• Performs testing and documents findings; proficient with standard ophthalmic equipment.
• Interprets data, makes clinical diagnoses, and documents impressions and plans.
• Communicates with optical, ophthalmology and staff to optimize care and service.
• Maintains licensing requirements (CE, CPR, safety training, PPD).
