Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensure as Optometrist in California required at hire.
• OD degree from an accredited School of Optometry; 1 year desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and documents patient history including chief complaint, symptoms, ocular health, and medications.
• Performs testing using standard ophthalmic equipment (retinoscopy, refraction, slit lamp, visual fields, etc.).
• Interprets exam data, documents impressions and actions, and refers to other providers as needed.
• Coordinates with optical staff and ophthalmology to ensure timely, quality care.
• Maintains licensing, CPR, safety training, and related requirements.
