Job summary

Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited School of Optometry.
• California Optometrist license required at hire.
• Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPA) required for external employees hired after November 2009.
• 1 year experience desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and documents history including chief complaint, ocular health, and applicable medical history.
• Performs testing and documents findings using ophthalmic equipment (retinoscopy, refraction, slit lamp, etc.).
• Interprets clinical data, makes diagnoses, and plans treatment or referrals as needed.
• Collaborates with optical, ophthalmology, and support staff to optimize care and service.
• Maintains licensing, CE, CPR, and safety training.
