Acuity Eyecare Group is seeking a Doctor of Optometry to conduct comprehensive eye exams and educate patients to maximize the full capacity of their license. The optometrist will support practice growth by establishing patient relationships and educating patients on eyecare.

The role requires a Doctorate of Optometry and state board licensure, with full-time on-site work at the Dennis, MA location. Benefits include 401(k), medical, dental, vision, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctorate of Optometry from an accredited program.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Conducting Eye exams
• Establishing long term patient relationships through proper patient care and education
• Verifies patient ocular and health histories before examinations
• Instructs patients on options for remediation of ametropias and ocular diseases
• Promotes eye health and educates patients on lens coatings and designs
• Perform vision tests and analyze results
• Diagnose sight problems and eye diseases
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications
• Provide pre- and postoperative care for eye surgeries
• Refer patients to other providers as needed
• Communicate recommendations clearly to opticians and staff
