Job summary

The Acuity Eyecare Group is seeking a Doctor of Optometry to perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose ocular conditions, and prescribe glasses, contact lenses, and medications. You will educate patients, establish long-term relationships, promote eye health, and support practice growth while collaborating with staff and opticians.

Requirements include a Doctorate of Optometry and successful completion of all optometric state boards.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.
• Ability to conduct comprehensive eye exams and educate patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams and evaluate visual function.
• Establish long-term patient relationships through education and care.
• Take verbal patient history to assess health and ocular issues.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications as appropriate.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care for eye surgeries.
• Promote eye health and refer patients to other providers when needed.
• Coordinate with staff and opticians on lens options and technology.
• Identify systemic conditions affecting eye health and refer if needed.
