Job summary

AEG Vision in Bastrop, TX is seeking a licensed optometrist to perform comprehensive eye exams and support patient education within Acuity Eyecare Group values. You will establish long-term patient relationships, assess ocular history, and recommend treatment options while coordinating with staff for solutions.

You will diagnose refractive errors, prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications, provide postoperative care, and promote eye health through patient counseling and education on

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from an accredited institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsibilities

• Establish long term patient relationships through proper patient care and education
• Performs verbal interview with patient prior to examination to determine health and ocular history
• Diagnose sight problems and prescribe eyeglasses, contacts, and medications
• Perform vision tests and analyze results
• Provide pre- and postoperative care to patients undergoing eye surgery
• Promote eye health through counseling and education
