Job summary

Eyes On Eyecare in Bastrop, TX is seeking a full-time Optometrist for a private-practice setting. You will conduct eye exams, educate patients, build long-term relationships, and contribute to practice growth.

The ideal candidate has a Doctorate of Optometry, is eligible to practice in Texas, and is entrepreneurial, collaborative, and patient-focused. We offer competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.
• Open to New Graduates and Residents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Eye exams
• Establish long term patient relationships through proper patient care and education
• Perform verbal interview with patient prior to exam to determine health & ocular history, medical issues, reasons for their visit as well their visual wants and needs
• Instruct, recommend & advise patients as to their options for remediation of ametropias, systemic and ocular disease
• Perform vision tests and analyze results
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications
• Recommend or provide treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehabilitation (brand specific)
• Provide pre/post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgery
• Communicate with the opticians & other sales people recommendations for the best possible lenses

Doctorate of Optometry

Passed all optometric state boards
