Job summary

Acuity Eyecare Group is seeking an Optometrist to perform comprehensive eye exams and provide patient education. You will interview patients, assess health and ocular history, diagnose refractive and ocular conditions, prescribe glasses, contacts, and medications, and offer vision therapy or postoperative care where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.
• Ability to communicate recommendations clearly to patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams and perform vision tests.
• Establish long-term patient relationships through education.
• Interview patients to assess health, ocular history and needs.
• Prescribe eyewear, lenses, and medications.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care for eye surgery.
• Promote eye health and educate patients on eye care.
• Collaborate with opticians to determine best lenses and coatings.
• Assess diseases like diabetes and refer when needed.
