Acuity Eyecare group is seeking a skilled optometrist to perform comprehensive eye exams and manage ocular health for patients in the Longview, WA area. You will build long-term relationships through education, assess patients’ health history, and guide choices for refractive options and disease management.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams and assess ocular health.
• Establish long-term patient relationships through education.
• Take verbal patient history and health review before exams.
• Advise patients on refractive options and ocular conditions.
• Promote eye health and explain lens/vision care options to patients.
• Perform vision tests, diagnose refractive errors and eye diseases.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications as appropriate.
• Suggest treatments like vision therapy or rehabilitative strategies.
• Provide pre/postoperative care for eye surgeries and referrals when needed.
• Communicate recommendations clearly to opticians and staff.
