The MedServ Group in Granite Falls, NC is seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our geriatric care team. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling and compensation either per patient or per visit, aligned with our SNF patient base.

Responsibilities include comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing ocular disease, prescribing corrective lenses or eye medications, and providing pre- and post-operative care. A Doctor of Optometry license and excellent communication skills are required.

Part Time Compensation: $40.00 - $45.00 per patient or 35%-40% of collections ($1050-$1250 per visit).

Optometrist Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive eye exams.
• Diagnosing and assisting in the treatment of ocular disease.
• Prescribing corrective lenses or eye medications as needed.
• Providing pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients.

Optometrist Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree and active state license.
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics.
• Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.

General Information

• 7-8 hours visiting patients plus paperwork.
• Schedule : Monday-Friday (typically 9:00AM-5:00PM). Flexible schedules also available.
• 22-25 patients per visit, preventative care
• Part Time Compensation : $40.00 -$45.00 per patient or 35%-40% of collections ($1050-$1250 per visit).
