The MedServ Group is seeking an Optometrist to join our team. You will perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose ocular disease, and prescribe corrective lenses or medications as needed to deliver high-quality care to elderly patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities.

The role emphasizes clinical excellence, compassionate patient interactions, and professional ethics. Schedule is typically 9:00AM-5:00PM, with flexible options and a Part Time compensation structure described below.

Part Time Compensation: $50.00 - $55.00 per patient or 35%-40% of collections ($1050-$1250 per visit).

Optometrist Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive eye exams.
• Diagnosing and assisting in the treatment of ocular disease.
• Prescribing corrective lenses or eye medications as needed.
• Providing pre and post-operative care to surgical patients.
• Promoting healthy vision by counseling and educating patients.

Optometrist Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree and active state license.
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics.
• Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.

General Information

• 7-8 hours visiting patients plus paperwork.
• Schedule: Monday-Friday (typically 9:00AM-5:00PM). Flexible schedules also available.
• 22-25 patients per visit, preventative care
• Part Time Compensation: $40.00 -$45.00 per patient or 35%-40% of collections ($1050-$1250 per visit).
