Job summary

America's Best, part of National Vision, is seeking an Optometric Technician - Medical Assistant to support the optometrist with pre-screenings and testing, helping maintain efficient patient flow in a busy clinic.

This full-time role emphasizes quality patient care, willingness to learn optical terminology, and strong interpersonal skills. No prior optical certification is required as training is provided. Sundays off are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service mindset and communication skills.
• Ability to learn optical terminology and basic testing procedures.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced retail/eye-care environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality patient care.
• Maintain a professional atmosphere in the doctor’s office and pre-test room.
• Explain preliminary examinations to patients.
• Complete paperwork and perform testing prior to doctor examination.
• Promote vision field testing and retinal screenings.
• Review prescriptions and patient information and consult when needed.
• Maintain equipment in the doctor’s and pre-test areas.
