Clarkson Eyecare is seeking a Doctor’s Assistant (Optometric Technician) in Florissant, MO. The role supports the doctor with preliminary testing and manages patient flow, insurance verification, and communication with the team to ensure a smooth Total Patient Experience.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and a willingness to learn. Office experience preferred; travel to other locations may be required. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office is preferred.
• Ophthalmic experience is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a role with customer/patient interactions.
• Background check per state requirements.
• Ability to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient flow.
• Assist the doctor in preliminary testing.
• Verify medical and vision insurances.
• Communicate effectively with patients, doctors, and managers.
• Answer inquiries by phone, email, and in person.
