Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in a healthcare and/or optical setting.
• Sales skills, Leadership and coaching abilities.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess priorities and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use exam software, POS systems and optometric equipment.
• Ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Managing Doctor to ensure patients receive the highest quality Optometric care.
• Support patient flow and ensure accurate eye exams.
• Coach and train newly hired doctor’s office associates.
• Provide scheduling feedback to optimize patient exam times and reduce delays.
• Assist with product knowledge and recommend vision solutions when appropriate.
• Support with contact lens care, trials, and orders.
• Perform pre-exam testing and document measurements for accurate diagnoses.
• Maintain organized patient records in accordance with HIPAA and practice standards.
• Operate the POS system and handle sales transactions per procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment in the exam area.
