As a front-desk / pretesting assistant, you will greet patients, schedule exams, perform initial tests, relay health history to the doctor, and support clinical operations across practices. This role requires strong communication and multitasking in a busy setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Experience in the Ophthalmic/Optometric/medical industry is a plus but is not required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet incoming patients and guide them to pretesting.
• Handle administrative duties: phones, scheduling, and messages.
• Perform pretests: blood pressure, NCT, color and stereo, autoperimetry.
• Advocate for overall health evaluation and patient history collection.
• Conduct contact lens training and order lenses as needed.
• Maintain equipment and doctor’s lanes; monitor supplies.
• Travel between practices; occasional after-hours projects; Saturday availability.
