Job summary

The Optometric Technician at Target Optical delivers exceptional patient service and supports the Optometrist with testing and lens care in our Peoria, AZ location. You’ll greet guests, perform pre-exam tests, handle records, and assist with contact lens care while upholding safety standards.

We seek a friendly, reliable candidate with strong communication, basic math and guest-service experience, who can operate the POS and computer systems, and contribute to a welcoming, efficient store

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of strong guest service experience.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication and listening skills with guests and teammates.
• Strong basic math and numerical accuracy in cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide prompt service.
• Explain store processes and products to guests; assist with paperwork and tests as needed.
• Review prescriptions and patient information with accuracy and care; coordinate with Opticians/Doctor.
• Operate POS system and handle payments.
• Maintain orderly, clean displays and store appearance.
• Assist with contact lens orders, inventory and invoices.
