Job summary

LensCrafters in Cary, NC is seeking a full-time Optometric Technician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience during and after exams. You will help the optometrist with patient preparation, conduct routine pre-exam tasks and ensure smooth flow of the patient journey.

The role requires strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills, with attention to HIPAA compliance and accurate data entry. There are opportunities for bonuses and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of strong customer service experience.
• Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and answer phone calls, maintain a friendly, professional image.
• Assist the optometrist during exams, including history taking and prep.
• Review prescriptions and patient information for accuracy and privacy.
• Input patient and insurance data into the CIAO system with care.
• Maintain clean, organized patient records and exam rooms.
• Support retail operations as capacity allows.
