Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare in St. Charles, Missouri seeks a Medical Assistant (Optometric Technician) to support doctors with preliminary testing and patient coordination. The role requires basic IT skills and a strong focus on patient experience while meeting HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Favorable result on background check.
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor in preliminary testing.
• Verify medical and vision insurances.
• Effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and managers.
• Answer inquiries through phone, email, and in-person requests.
• Operate ophthalmic testing equipment (lensometers, autorefractor, etc.).
• Maintain clean examination equipment and perform general office duties.
